A County Council is aiming to encourage children to record evidence of birds breeding in their gardens.
Leicestershire County Council's Community Heritage Initiative has put together a 'Wild About
' pack to give children advice on how to spot birds. The pack will help budding nature detectives to identify bird songs and tell them how to make a nesting pouch. It also includes a survey form which can be used to record when birds are feeding their young and when the fledglings leave the nest. A copy of the Wild About pack can be downloaded from: http://www.wildabout.org.uk/
