With all the quality one would expect from British Wildlife magazine, George Else created a classic little reference here for anyone interested in distinguishing between social wasps found in Britain. The colour plates and black & white line drawings, combined with the excellent and comprehensive key make it a pleasure to use. There are also excellent accounts for each species outlining their nesting biology, habits and distribution.
